Some topics we’ll cover in this 2-hour lesson include:

- Learn how to move around the Excel Environment
- Learn how to move data around with Sort
- Learn how to highlight and hide data with Filter and Conditional Formatting
- Make a simple search feature with VLOOKUP (exact match)
- Make simple Calculations about your data
- Put data in bins for visuals with Frequency (note: we will try to get to this)

Pre-requisites
No prior experience with Excel is needed. Attendees are asked to have a local installation of Microsoft Excel or access to Excel Online through Office on their own computers for the workshop.

Purpose
This workshop will be an introduction to Qualtrics at CMC. It is intended for beginning users with little to no experience. The workshop will also touch on intermediate topics such as survey logic and controlled distributions.

Prerequisite
Users should create a Qualtrics account on the CMC instance at https://claremontmckenna.co1.qualtrics.com/login/enrollment?path=%2FControlPanel%2F&product=ControlPanel using a CMC email address.

In this 1.5-hour workshop, we hope to get you started with:

- Pivot Table

- More Lookup functions: VLOOKUP (approximate match), INDEX, and MATCH

- Most common functions: Count and Sum

- Logical functions: IF, AND, OR, and NOT

The workshop is designed to continue from the QCL Excel Basics Level 1 Workshop. However, anyone is welcome to register.
